The PAPERBOY features a 3/4 hp single piston pump connected to a high
density polyethylene holding chamber, which never rusts; it is easy to clean
and is rated for a full vacuum. Roll out the materials and connect the hoses
and it's ready to use on any flat waterproof table or surface up to 40" x
70'. The BIGBOY model comes with a twin piston pump for double flow capacity
per minute.
We have been using the heavy duty Garrett Hydropulper (bast model)
at Magnolia on a daily basis for about five years. It has held up very well
and performed admirably. We use it for making pulps that need not be beaten
and for pigmenting cotton and abaca pulps. Versatility makes this piece of
equipment ideal for any papermaking studio. The Rehydrator is designed for
rehydrating linters and other pre-processed fibers. The Processor works with
bast and other native fibers.
Studio models: Portable models: 895.00 for the Processor (bast), 445.00
for the Processor, 695.00 for the Rehydrator (linters), 395.00 for the Rehydrator
A very fast way to apply pulp to porous surfaces, spraying any fiber
at up to one and one half gallons of wet pulp per minute. Pulp is pulled
into a lightweight gun from a remote hopper. Spray width and volume are adjustable.
To reverse the flow, simply cover the tip with your finger and knots and clogs
flow back into the hopper.
We have tested many pressurized sprayers and have found this to be
the most durable and versatile. Used to keep works in progress wet with its
gentle spray setting or to cut freshly formed or pressed sheets with its sharp
powerful stream.
Great for straining pulp or for making circular paper 11" in diameter,
three fine, medium and coarse removable screens.
Good for pouring, scooping and general use in the paper studio.
These inexpensive, brightly colored colanders are perfect for straining
and rinsing most types of pulp. We have been using them for years and think
they are indispensable. We use these colanders for rinsing cooked Kozo and
pulps that have started to go bad, also for thickening up sculpture pulp and
for emptying vats to catch fiber before it goes down the drain.
